STEPS IN THE WATER

A DEMONSTRATION FOR CLIMATE PROTECTION ABOUT THE POWER OF IMAGES

With the street art installation "Steps in the Water", the Heidelberg artist Frank Schlottmann interprets climate change in his own way. His goal: to make people reflect.

The work deals with the rise of the sea level and the resulting flooding of many cities and islands worldwide.
More than 100 shoes transform Heidelberg's Karlsplatz into a sea of boots, sneakers, sandals and pumps.

A demonstration for climate protection about the power of images.

After the premiere in Heidelberg, the installation will travel across Europe and stop wherever climate change threatens the cities. The installation will continue to grow in every city and will be largest in Venice, the last stop in Europe.
